This position performs a variety of Human Resources and General Administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provides HR services to employees and clerical support
- Assist with onboarding for new hires, including paperwork processing, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assists with employee paperwork tracking
- Assists with preparing and processing internal and external job postings and applicant lists
- Maintain/update various department/district HR database tools (staffing assignments, certification, employee evaluations, criminal record checks, etc.)
- Prepares a variety of correspondence and departmental forms
- Organizes and maintains the Human Resources filing system; ensures accuracy and completeness of confidential personnel files and employee records
- Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
- Draft and formats correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing, and filing
- Process outgoing and incoming mail, manually and electronically
- Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings
- Open and close client electronic files when necessary
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:
- Grade 12 education supplemented by a Business College diploma or equivalent training and experience in Human Resources and Admin Management
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computers, keyboarding, and typing (60 -70 wpm)
- Advanced proficiency in Exell
- Advanced data management and spreadsheet skills, including experience with HRIS software;
- Proficiency in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office, Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
