Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Advisor the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources team. The Assistant will be required to support in planning and organizing the Human Resources department, including assisting with controlling and evaluating the overall operations.
Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, data management in HRIS, filing (correspondence, invoices, receipts and other records), collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail, faxes and resumes, maintain sufficient office supplies, forms and inventory. They will maintain personnel and general office files and data entries including tracking systems for employee recognition program and recruitment processes; assuring compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies.
Job Description
HR administration including preparation of employment letters, new hire packages, issuing manual cheques, filing, etc.
Assist and directs employees with inquiries to appropriate Portfolio Managers.
Completion of various government surveys.
Working with SuccessFactors Applicant Tracking System, assist Manager to create job requisitions for job posting in English and French
Data Management -importing data from SAP onboarding and general data entry into ADP WorkForceNow.
Prepare employment reference letters as requested.
Facilitate orientation and service training as required
Ensure office appearance is maintained in professional manner
Assist the HR Associate with managing invoices,
Arrange for baskets/flowers for employee as required.
Prepare Personnel files and add to Content Manager System
Transfer files from active to termination in Content Manager
Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
- A relevant college diploma or university degree in Human Resources or Employee Relations or equivalent is preferred
- Incumbent should be working towards completion of the Certified Human Resources Professional(CHRP)
- A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related experience in recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement programs, hospitality and tourism and/or Human Resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
