DUTIES:
- Assists with manpower planning and recruitment.
- Coordinate new hire on boarding and orientation including all administrative functions.
- Act as a liaison between employees and managers to resolve workplace conflicts.
- Manage employee relations with the emphasis on engaging employees, building employee morale and maintaining effective communications with employees
- Manages group insurance administration enrolment, updates and termination from plan.
- Active participation in all Social Committee events.
- Sets up and maintains information systems and reporting related to the administration of employees.
- Maintain all relevant filing of documents in both an orderly and timely manner.
- Handle basic administrative HR duties including data entry, filing, and ensuring proper audit trail.
- Responsible for advising IT of any employee changes that require changes to phone list and security system.
- Responsible for employee uniform program to maintain efficiency and excellent employee relations
- Manage and maintain Human Resources information in ADP
- Weekly communications posted on TV’s, quarterly newsletters as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED – COMPUTER PROGRAMS OR OTHER SKILLS:
- Minimum 1-5 yrs. HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable of Employment Standards, WSIB, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Rights
- Strong diligence and follow-up- attention to details required.
- Strong people and communication skills
- Computer proficient in ADP, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of HRIS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- College/University education in Human Resources
- Actively working towards a CHRP would be an asset.
