SalaryPosition Summary
Cambrian College’s Human Resources Department requires a full-time Human Resources Generalist for a one (1) Year Term beginning February 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responds to general inquiries related to HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Supports the HR team in functional areas such as compensation, benefits, attendance, labour relations, organizational development, and recruitment.
- Assists in the preparation of HR training material.
- Provides the HR team with logistical and administrative support as required.
- Prepares and maintains general HR paperwork and employee documentation. Liaises with stakeholders as required to ensure paperwork and documentation is complete.
- Assists with the development, tracking, and revision of HR policies and programs
- Prepares and submits requests for HR data, information, and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a three-year diploma/degree Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a Human Resources department.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent, client-focused verbal and written communication skills.
Required Information
Additional Assets/Preferred:
- Experience working within a postsecondary environment.
- Experience with Human Resource Information Systems.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- HR certification or currently pursuing a certification (e.g. CHRP)
