- Serving as a resource for employees, addressing their HR-related inquiries and concerns professionally and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve employee issues and ensure timely follow-up while maintaining confidentiality. You will be part of the management team and responsible of all HR KPI’s.
- Doing End to end Recruitment of all hourly employees. Ensure the site has the right people with the right skills in the right positions.
- Contributing to corporate HR projects, programs, and initiatives, providing valuable insights and support to the broader HR team.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with corporate objectives.
- Overseeing the complete onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive proper training and orientation. Offboarding – exit interviews, trend analysis
- First line support of site leadership on all matters related to employee issues / challenges as well as coaching the supervisors on the correct course of actions required. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance HR operations. Actively participate in organizing employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities, wellness programs, and recognition events.
- Getting feedback from employees and contribute ideas to enhance employee satisfaction and improve the overall culture. (Social committee and Employee Engagement Programs). Attend all site meetings including the quarterly meetings.
- Administrative support for benefits (enrollment and maintenance), Group RRSP, Workday support. Payroll inquiries (error of pay or explanation of payment). Review timekeeping and attendance on Workday. Manage and update employee records, including personal information, benefits, using the HR information system WORKDAY.
- Administer and manage STD/LTD cases. Support return to work planning in conjunction with site leadership. CBA interpretation and facilitation. Support grievance resolution. Conduct workplace investigations. Labour relations meeting. Help employees adapt to changes (WD/new CBA outcome)
- Facilitate communication between HR and plant management.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of HR.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial sectors is an asset
