JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative will handle customer-initiated calls seeking company supplied products. The Inside Sales Representative will resolve customer questions, offer solutions, and generate new business with existing customers by using upselling tactics that ensure a great customer experience. As this individual gains more experience, there is an opportunity to expand to Outside Sales if interested.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Handle inbound customer requests for pricing and availability.
• Create positive customer relations to encourage repeat business and long term relationships.
• Enter quotas and invoices into the company’s invoicing system.
• Prepare and supply customers with freight quotes and invoices.
• Follow-up with customer quotes seeking closure of sales.
• Make outbound call to previous customers to generate new leads and identify areas for improvement.
• Complete follow-up sales calls after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Utilize extensive product knowledge gained to understand customer needs and requirements to help solve their problems.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify growth opportunities.

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?

• 3-5 years or related sales experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Commerce preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and proficiently use multiple technological systems simultaneously.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create relationships and build rapport with vendors and customers.
• Ability to pay attention to details and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new systems.
• Passion to learn and develop new skills to improve performance over time.
• Self-motivated with the drive to meet and exceed your sales goals.
• Outgoing and comfortable interacting with different types of people, strong client service orientation.
