Details:
- Arranging, facilitating and conducting school-based training on Assistive Technology that will enable students with exceptionalities to engage more in learning and build self-esteem.
- Being able to manage the pace, fluidity, and effectiveness of the training sessions.
- Tracking student progress and skill development through our reporting software.
- Training school and board staff, and others on the technology
- Engaging groups of students and teachers in the learning process and demonstrating an approach to learning that is enabled by technology
Required Skills:
- Ability to connect with people, specifically children, across a diverse range of skills and ages, with various exceptionalities.
- The capacity to independently perform instructional strategies and pedagogical practices.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth, demonstrated through participation at regional Team PD days, weekly team meetings and through Performance Asssessment processes.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- A related degree or diploma, or other degrees/diploma programs with a similar knowledge base
- Experience with students with diverse needs and abilities
- Working knowledge of software used in educational settings
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
