Medical Office Assistant Position

We are a busy specialist office seeking an additional Office Assistant to join a team of 2 other fun, hardworking Office Assistants.

We are looking for 4 days per week on average (rotating Thurs and Fridays off). You will also balance the schedule with your colleagues to allow for holidays and sick days. Our hours of operation are 08:00 to 15:30. There may be days that require more hours to complete more work.

Job Description

This position performs a variety of administrative and reception duties:

• Registering patients
• Escorting patients to examination rooms
• Sanitizing examination rooms and equipment
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Maintaining patient records
• Managing time sensitive correspondence
• Transcribing and proofreading dictations

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Program from an accredited institution
• Two years of recent related experience in a health care setting preferred
• 40-50 wpm typing
• Familiarity with EMR, preferably Med Access
• Ability to utilize and understand medical terminology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask
