Part-Time Medical Office Assistant

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

VGH Skin Care Centre is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our busy office on a part-time basis, may lead to a full time position.

Education & Experience

• Grade 12
• Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant program
• One (1) year of recent related clinical MEDICAL OFFICE support experience, or an equivalent combination of education training and experience preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Patient Registration, scheduling and processing of appointments
• Cleaning and stocking of examination rooms
• Seating patients
• Billing, invoicing and cash handling
• Business writing skills
• Knowledge of EMR system (preferably Med Access) and proficient in typing
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines
• Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory work relationships with clients and staff
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with coworkers, clients and staff from other agencies
• Ability to multitask with a focus on attention to detail
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrated skill in using a variety of office equipment and computer software programs
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Employment & Vaccination requirements

• As per the current Public Health Orders, all employees must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
• Successful applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills. Please email a cover letter and your resume to the manager.
