THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, the National Marketing Coordinator supports our Regional Sales team and hotel portfolio through marketing initiatives and campaigns, will provide a consistent brand voice; develop efficiencies and drive revenue. The incumbent needs to be highly creative, possess outstanding organizational and communication skills combined with excellent time management abilities to produce marketing campaigns, social media, and content strategy for our hotel portfolio. Top candidates will exhibit critical thinking skills, high degree of creativity, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
ACTIVITIES:
- Develops and executes advertising campaigns and programs in support of the Regional Sales team.
- Develops marketing collateral for hotel level teams to assist in revenue generation.
- Assists to ensure full participation in company lead Marketing programs.
- Assists with National/Regional Sales initiatives, tradeshows, and regional marketing initiatives.
- Provides regular communication to internal stakeholders of tools, programs and processes as required.
- Works closely with the Regional Sales Team and property stakeholders to create internal and external print and digital assets, including copywriting for ads, email newsletters, on-property collateral, signage, menus, etc.
- Responsible for all website updates, including copywriting for property promotional event listings, landing pages and all relevant third-party websites, ensuring content is accurate, seasonal, and reflective of business priorities.
- Assists in the development of Social Media content for hotels.
- Coordinates all marketing, advertising, promotional initiatives, and day-to-day design requests aligned with the marketing calendar.
- Assists with property photo and video shoots and coordinating influencer and media visits.
- Create presentation materials for sales and marketing, including monthly marketing reports.
- Responsible for monthly property collateral audits aligned with brand standards.
- Assists in the co-ordination of Marketing activities as directed through
the Vice-President, Sales & Marketing.
- Completes other duties and projects, as assigned.
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:
Academic/Education Requirements:
- Hospitality Program graduate is preferred.
- Business Marketing Program graduate, or equivalent experience an asset.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years marketing experience in the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Experience creating and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting various audiences online and offline.
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
- Social Media content and planning experience.
- Proficient knowledge in analytics, statistics, and managing data to answer key marketing questions and derive insights.
- Experience in Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, WordPress and Campaign Monitor are nice-to-haves.
- MS Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Proficient Knowledge of Canva an asset.
- Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly self-motivated and directed work ethic; keen attention to detail, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skill set; ability to effectively prioritize and execute sequential tasks in a highly pressurized work environment.
- Highly adept customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Mental Effort required to perform the job:
- Frequent mental attentiveness and listening is required when dealing with Marketing tasks.
- Frequent mental effort is required in multi-tasking, handling interruptions, and/or Customer/Public/Manager queries, that require constant refocusing.
- Frequent levels of concentration required for accuracy when dealing with Marketing tasks and initiatives.
Physical Effort required to perform the job:
- Continuously requires manual dexterity speed and hand/eye coordination for work at a computer.
- Periodic lifting of computer hardware and administrative materials such as laptops, physical files, binders, etc.
Responsibility for Resources:
- Responsible for work area.
- Responsible for confidential Marketing documents, equipment, and protocols related to the company.
Working Conditions
- Continuously working at a workstation assigned by the Manager.
- Continuously working in a climate-controlled office.
- Occasionally travels to properties as required.
- Frequent meetings (in-person, virtual) to discuss various Marketing subject matter.
