Office Administrator/Bookkeeper
Martell Mechanical, located in Kentville, NS, is seeking an Office Adminstrator and/or Bookkeeper. Martell provides new construction plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation services in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Annapolis Valley, and the South Shore. The position will be 40 hours per week in an office setting. The successful applicant will report to the owner and work closely with the accounting firm that oversees accounting functions.

The successful applicant must have management or administrative experience in an office setting.

Duties (may include but not limited to)

• Job tracking
• Monitoring employee time cards
• Developing and maintaining work procedures
• Material purchasing
• Shop drawing submittals
• Client billing and monitoring of accounts receivable
• Posting and monitoring accounts payable
• Bank Deposits
• Tracking job costs
• Preparing information for monthly bank reconciliations
• Payroll input
• Employee dispatch
• Scheduling jobs
• Preparation of all payroll remittances (WCB, CRA, etc)
• Completion of ROE’s, T4’s etc.
• Oversee company safety program

Qualifications:

Community College or University Accounting Courses

2+ years of Bookkeeping Experience preferred

Experience with mechanical trade procedures an asset

Experience with Quick Books or Simply Accounting an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
