Kelly has partnered with a local organization to recruit for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Office Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clients office environment. As the first point of contact for many clients, visitors, and the Executive Director you will support; expect to embody their commitment to professionalism and obligation to the community this company aids to assist.
Please note: this is a 90 day Part Time contract, with the possibility of extension and/or permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide office coordination and administration
- Filing and retrieval of documents, records and reports;
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
- Maintenance of filing systems
- carry out pre and post meeting duties as required
- Writing of routine documents and correspondence
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of African Nova Scotians as a distinct people as well as social issues affecting the community
- Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience
- Degree or diploma in office administration or a related field
- Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proven ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
- Advanced computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office and related programs
- Must provide be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check and have a pass a background check
