Payroll Administrator/Office Assistant

• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Time sheet & time Card Entry (Verify Job Numbers, verify codes and Input Hours to Calculate Pay)
• Compile payroll reports weekly, monthly and yearly.
• Data entry of employee payroll information as required. (Ex: new hires, change of address, promotions and terminations).
• Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to supervisor
• Verify and process forms and documents and payments for administration of the company benefits and RRSP/DRSP. Ensure information is kept up to date.
• Submit WSIB payments monthly
• Journal Entries
• Maintains a record of employee attendance and leaves.
• Maintains a good relationship with HR.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in Payroll.
• Deal with complaints and questions in regards to payroll from employees
• Audits data entered for completeness and accuracy and appropriately follows up on inaccurate data.
• Update data with salary/wage adjustments
• Strong attention to detail.
• Bilingual English/French Mandatory

Essential Office Assistant Functions

• Assist with purchase order creations and entries
• Other duties as assigned
