Physiotherapy Assistant

Fotis Physio & Wellness is a multidisciplinary rehab clinic that provides quality of care to the community. Our focus is in the quality assessment and treatment of all injuries from accidents, sports, workplace injuries or chronic pain. We treat variety of conditions, including pre and post-surgery rehabilitation.

We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant accustomed to multi-tasking. This position will provide you with extreme diversity. You will be assisting physiotherapists with patient treatments and exercises.

Following are some of the duties and skills required but not limited to :

- Aid the clients occupational performance and physical function by contributing to the development, implementation, and modification of intervention and treatment plans
- Theoretical knowledge of the neurological system as well as psychological and social aspects related to neurological challenges
- Ability to identify acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Assist with various treatments as prescribed and directed by the Physiotherapist including but not limited to balance exercises, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, laser, etc.)
- Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after treatments
- Ensure that the gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy
- Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client’s status or treatment interventions
- Follow all established COVID-19 protocols of the Practice, and as directed by Public Health.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $17.50-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
