Lubec Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing Construction Management Company with office located in Victoria, British Columbia that specializes in multi family construction across both Alberta and British Columbia. As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, organized, and hardworking Project Assistant to work in our office. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Site Superintendents with day-to-day tasks in all aspects of commercial construction.
- With direction from the Project Managers and Site Superintendents, ensure materials are approved, ordered, and delivered to site in a timely manner.
- Coordinate requests for quotation/pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Complete purchase orders, change orders, charge backs – manage documents through all phases of approval until execution
- Create RFI’s for Architects and Engineers
- Overseeing CCDC Contract administration – contract preparation, interpretation, and execution
- Tender jobs: send tender invitations, follow up with all subcontractors for pricing, receive proposals, submit RFI’s as necessary
- Track and file daily equipment inspections. Arrange equipment repairs and services
- Obtain underground locates for each job, typically renewing on a monthly basis
- Assist with construction handover packages and close out documentation
- Maintain all project documents.
- Perform other related duties as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work according to deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with team, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is an asset
- Previous construction administration experience of 2 years is required.
- Willing to learn.
PERKS WITH LUBEC:
- Full-time salary Position: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
- 2 Weeks Vacation Yearly
- Work hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday
