Job role
We are looking for a dependable, detail oriented and customer focused Project Assistant to support long term contracts for our client's project needs within British Columbia. The role of Project Assistant can is to support the Project Manager and follow the Project Manager's lead in over seeing project planning, execution, general admin, reporting. The role also may involve working directly with equipment to prep, move and organize. This may involve prolonged time standing and carrying up to 25lbs.
Duties
- Assist in managing the implementation of major initiatives. These major initiatives require sensitivity to specific customer needs.
- Communication with all relevant parties such as contractors, technicians, staff, customers via email and phone.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Supporting all other departments and working closely in order to execute and manage project efficiently
- Work order creations and management using Service Max software
- Providing weekly internal updates and as requested regarding project and work status
- Working with all other departments and managers in order to achieve project and work success
- Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders.
- Assist in solving any issues that may come up during the projects
- Analyzing project data and producing progress reports
- Assisting in scheduling technicians work orders with customers
- Working to prep, test, organize and move equipment
Requirements:
- Proficiency in data manipulation/reporting in Excel
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Strong written and speaking skills – fluent in both written and spoken English
- Superb ability to manage scheduling.
- Thorough knowledge of B.C geography
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Legally able to work in Canada and ability to obtain GPEB certification is required. Client will assist in the GPEB certification and cover the costs.
- Ability to work out of our Kamloops, B.C location and remotely from home
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
- Dependable and able to work overtime and or weekends if needed
- All paid training and support will be provided by our client to selected candidates.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods when required
- Lift up to 25lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
