Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact on all assigned projects
- Estimate project costs for tender purposes
- Assist with project planning and scheduling under the guidance of the manager
- Develop and execute work plans aimed at keeping projects on schedule and on budget
- Manage suppliers, issue PO’s, co-ordinate all site activities
- Ensure on-site operations are conducted in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, within permit conditions, and to customer specifications
- Coordinate all daily activities and track financial performance to ensure project targets are met
- Take ownership and constantly look for ways to improve our safety performance
- Report all incidents, safety infractions, non-compliance issues and participate in the investigation and development of corrective actions
- Manage customer access requirements (i.e. work with Human Resources for US Visas and job specific drug and alcohol testing)
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Diploma in a technical related field is preferred
- Previous experience working in an industrial setting, project management and/or estimating
- Previous experience with on-site operations, waste remediation, project commissioning and decommission
- Ability to anticipate, investigate, research, and analyze challenging and unique problems, and to resolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Time management skills are essential to balance and execute on competing priorities
- Computer skills must include Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Project
- Will be required to work independently and as part of a larger team, including the interaction with all levels of employees within the company
