Job Description
AECOM's Buildings + Places is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our team. This position is based out of Ottawa.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a small to moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a larger, more complex project, following set guidelines for tasks.
Employee receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision. Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to instructions. Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions.
May interface with design team.
May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
May assist with and monitor change orders
May assist with and review financial reporting
Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract
Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
University education in Engineering, Finance,, Business, or Economics with applicable further development in Project Management would be preferred.
2 years of relatable experience.
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation in Ottawa will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $53K - $91K.
