VISION:

SCOPE:
The Project Coordinator will lead all aspects of event planning, logistics and budgets for assigned events. Events may include, but are not limited to, the annual She is Wise Conference, ONWA’s Annual General Assembly, MMIWG Pow Wow, and the Annual All-Staff training. The Project Coordinator will support interdisciplinary teams to planning and execute events and/or campaigns as assigned. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting on event progress and budgets and provide post-event analysis and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business, Event planning or another relevant field with a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, and execution of large events.
- Strong communicator – with excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills, with ability to multi-task under little supervision.
- Solution oriented with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial planning to budget and manage event costs.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or part of a team.
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams, specifically in supporting and guiding others during planning, coordinating, and executing events.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Reliable vehicle, appropriate insurance coverage and valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license.
- Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check. Valid 1st Aid/CPR.
- Cellular phone and internet access is required within this position.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible working from home arrangement if required. This may include a combination of virtual remote work in your home and in office arrangements. This will be based on operational needs and will be determined by the ONWA.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous Language is considered an asset.
