We are seeking a Receptionist to join our BPA team in North York .
Responsible for providing effective customer service related to Member Benefit Plan Trust Funds as specified by the collective bargaining agreements and the direction of the Board of Trustees. Effectively receives and deposits all employer benefit contributions and member self payments.
The Receptionist will:
- Direct all incoming calls to the correct staff member in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with any “walk in” members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer members’ general inquiries and promptly direct to appropriate contacts for additional information.
- Processes member enrollment cards and updates members personal policy information.
- Receives daily mail and distribute to appropriate staff members.
- Support members with making benefit payments.
- Produce letters requested by members confirming benefit status, eligibility, and dependent information.
- Review employer contribution reports and member self-payments by entering remittance details into Benefit Plan Administration System (BPAS) and
prepare daily bank deposits. - Prepare ad hoc reporting on request.
- Report directly to Office Manager.
- Work cooperatively as a member of the I.U.P.A.T. Trust Fund Administration team.
- Deal directly with participating employers, benefit plan members and their dependents, and Union Representatives.
- Work cooperatively with Accounting Department at our Head Office location.
To be successful as a Receptionist with BPA, you will need:
- Ability to work well under pressure and accurately process a high volume of work in a timely manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in the use of related computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mathematical ability and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Cooperative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a team player.
