Receptionist
(Full-time, contract until March 31, 2025)
Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.
We are searching for a full-time Receptionist to provide administrative support in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

What you will be doing:
Greet and welcome clients and visitors to the networking hub in a professional manner.
Provide overall administrative support to the networking hub and programs provided at the location.
Provide professional telephone services by receiving and transferring incoming calls and, taking brief messages and passing these on via the email system or connecting callers to staff members’ voicemail
Provide networking hub information (such as program address, directions to locations, class schedules, website and other related information) to clients, visitors, and direct enquiries to the appropriate person.
Update and maintain community resources including information boards, resource binders and video resources
Schedule and book appointments with staff, partner organizations and clients
Assist to maintain and update office inventory and supplies and main the contact details.
Screen service/information requests and provide general information and appropriate referrals
Monitor and ensure that the reception areas and other common areas are kept tidy, project a professional image and that community information/resources are readily available
Perform other related clerical duties such as word processing, faxing, filing and collating
Maintain confidentiality associated with client interactions
What are we looking for?
High school diploma with course work in general office practices
Two years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset
Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to issues affecting immigrant and refugee communities
Excellent communication and demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills, second language is an asset
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends is required for this position
Location: 3495 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough
Compensation: $19.62 to $21.85 based on experience
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime
