Position Overview
As a Residential Project Coordinator, you are a critical member of the project team, managing resources, documentation and information and assisting with project activities. Your primary responsibility is to prepare contracts and negotiate changes to contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for the full cycle of a project. You will also assist with RFPs and RFQs, project preparations, and project close-outs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supports the Project Managers in coordinating, participating, and managing all project documentation utilizing Procore, our Project Management Software.
- Maintains the tracking system of action items and follows up with the Project Manager to ensure timely response and/or action.
- Assists in the development, planning, and execution of any required materials.
- Data entry of Submittals in a Project Management System
- Create, review and track RFIs
- Review and track project schedules
- Preparation of change orders
- Ensure that subcontracts are executed in full prior to the subcontractor commencing on-site activities
- Create, review and track subcontracts and report any variance to the project team.
- Administer submittals and shop drawing process
- Create and update contact lists
- Update minutes of meetings
- Prepare progress reports
- Involved in all facets of project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and coordination of warranty work
- Work with the HSE Manager to document and file safety-related items
- Source opportunities with existing or new clients
- Assist project team in managing Rescom’s residential warranty program and Alberta New Home Warranty
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.
Required Experience and Education:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Architectural Technologist certification is considered an asset
- Experience reading drawings and specifications and required standards
- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience in project coordination
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
