Project Coordinator
The role of Project Coordinator is of vital importance to the day-to-day success of our multi-family construction projects.
What we look for?
- Completion of a university degree, college diploma, or equivalent.
- Three to five years’ experience in wood-frame multi-family construction is an asset.
- Must be ambitious, self-motivated, organized, and results driven with excellent internal and external customer service skills.
- Solid computer skills including an advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver on strict timelines.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in composing and proof-reading written materials.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving and a distinctive drive to enhance/improve projects.
- Providing administrative support to the project team, which includes but is not limited to preparing contracts, purchase orders, site instructions, and change orders.
- Liaising with and supporting the project’s Construction team through timely execution and circulation of documentation such as shop drawings, specifications, material selections, and so on.
- Assisting in the creation and execution of the project plan.
- Managing various checklists, trackers, and assisting with weekly & monthly project reporting.
- Coordinating project and building turnovers. This includes scheduling quality inspections, managing inspection documentation, coordinating deficiency corrections with the Site Supervisor, and scheduling key turnover.
- Assisting in the procurement of the project including preparing tender documents and keeping vendor contact information complete and up to date.
- Assisting in the creation and administration of scopes of work.
- Attending project meetings, recording minutes, and circulating to appropriate parties.
- Assisting external vendors through the purchase order and invoicing process.
- Providing support to the material handling and logistics coordination processes.
- Uploading all project documentation to our content management system.
- Supporting new vendor onboarding by training them in the use of our systems.
- Other duties as required.
