What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Administrator in the Structured Notes team at RBC Investor Services (IS), you will be responsible for instructing the setup and closing of the Notes for Shareholders Services. This a client facing role that requires coordination with our internal stakeholders. Submitting multiple requests to Security Setup Team for new property setup and multiple requests for ICS Account Opening team for trading, subscription, and redemption Trust accounts. Create/maintain new profile IDs on CPOM for billing and tracking purposes. The role requires frequent usage of MyClientView (MCV) as part of the process is automated.
What will you do?
- Ensure processing and client requirements are carried out in the most efficient manner. Monitor and analyze the status of team against established standards and take appropriate action as required.
- Daily review of MCV Cases/Task to address and clear all outstanding items (where applicable)
- Deliver quality service to all parties by promptly responding to requests or inquiries relating to client activity/instructions.
- Ensure continuity of operations and service during vacation and absenteeism. ·
- Ensure all monitoring and notification requirements are in place (End of day task, Daily trackers, and recon, etc.)
- Communicate issues which may affect Launch/Close for Shareholder Service i.e., amendments, revised activity, processing errors etc.
- Ongoing review of existing procedures to ensure that risk issues are effectively anticipated and mitigated.
- Reduce corporate liability by ensuring compliance with all RBC Investor Treasury Services policy guidelines and department policy and procedures.
- Minimize E & O due to non-compliance with established procedures or failure to identify/escalate a situation that could potentially cause a processing failure.
- Performs ad hoc request when directed by the manager.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3+ years Securities industry experience and knowledge of domestic markets
- Post secondary education, preferably in Business or Finance
- Strong interpersonal skills and networking abilities with other departments
- Knowledge of funds & alternative investments
- Strategic approach to business and solid negotiation skills
- Superior communication and presentation skills
Nice- to- have
- Experience with platforms such as TRUST
- Shareholder Service knowledge and over time advanced knowledge
- Leadership skills
- Bilingual fluency in English and French
