This is an 18 month term position.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Monitor, review, and action same day trade correction requests and take market action in a timely manner where required
- Process corrections promptly to clients' accounts so Advisors can see correct/updated margin and positions on both ADP and Charles River
- Act as the primary contact for Advisors should they require help with a correction
- Monitor post trade correction requests and process in a timely manner, taking market action where required
- Monitor and track GIC Trade Corrections and act as the liaison between the wealth advisor team, settlement/cage, and trade desk
- Track trade correction gain/loss throughout the month by Advisor
- Generate reports to send to branch managers and Business Support
- Create a final report for Payroll to charge monthly gain/losses to appropriately
- Reconcile error account charges to ensure all charges are correctly processed
- Ensure all fixed income trades for wealth management are reported correctly EOD to IIROC
- Reconcile report post trade for any errors or missed trades
- Monitor and confirm Over the Counter Direct participant trades
- Contact trader/trading lines if there are any issues
- Ensure trades are confirmed or marked as "don't know" before daily cutoff
- Cross train on all other roles in the department
- Assist and provide coverage for other roles when required
The Must Haves:
- Post secondary education
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation considered an asset
- Subject matter expert in investment industry regulations as they pertain to equity trade processing and options trading
- Thorough understanding of the trade reporting systems of the Canadian Exchanges, US Exchange, Charles River, ION, IIROC Debt reporting system, Arrow trade Management, CDS, NSCC, DTC, CDCC, OCC, OAES, AOM trading system, and the ADP Brokerage Accounting System (especially pertaining to trade processing)
- Investment industry experience with specific exposure to Stock exchange and Options & Trade Processing

- An ability to work independently and use sound judgment and initiative when processing Trade corrections within established policies and procedures
