Service Advisor

Bailey Western Star is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team at our Campbell River, BC location.

Job Description:

- Welcome customers to the dealership, both in person and over the phone.

- Triage & check in service customers and track workflow of vehicles through shop for a timely repair and return to service.

- Review previous work history, open recalls, and outstanding services and advise customers on recommended repairs.

- Interacting with customers, providing best recommendations based on needs analysis and industry knowledge.

- Check for warranty recalls.

- Review account status and collect payments when required.

- Filing of invoices & capture data as required.

- Consult with technicians about necessary repairs, estimates, and alternative repair options.

- Assist with the distribution of work to technicians as directed.

- Assist with technician stories, review & entry into system.

- Communicate effectively with customers by advising on recommended repairs, services, estimates, as well as warranty coverages and giving feature / benefit presentations.

- Ensure follow up to customers in a timely and efficient manner to provide ongoing updates on changes to services / vehicle repairs, estimates and repair completion.

- Communicate with suppliers and vendors as required.

- Liaise with other departments as needed, including Parts & Sales. Ensuring excellent communication channels between departments.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a Service Advisor role within the heavy-duty industry is considered an asset.

- Previous experience with Procede an added asset

- Valid Driver's License with clean drivers abstract. Holding a Class 1 or 3 license considered an asset.

- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

- A technical aptitude

- Parts experience considered an asset.

- A commitment to customer service and a team player

- Ability to solve problems independently following company guidelines and policies.

- Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $65,000.00 per year
