About the position
Under the direction of the Manager of Inventory & Shipping, coordinates the tracking, shipping, and receiving of all inbound and outbound rental equipment shipments including sub-rentals, transfers, and purchases. Oversees all shipping and assists with queries related to suppliers, freight companies and customs brokers. Assists all departments with coordination of incoming and outbound shipments.
Regular business hours, weekdays 8:00am until 5:00pm, located at 67 Browns Line, Etobicoke, ON M8W 3S2.
How you’ll contribute:
- Coordinate all incoming and outbound shipping activities:
- Obtain freight quotes as required.
- Generate POs and obtain approvals.
- Generate customs and shipping paperwork and arrange for shipping.
- Monitor shipment status and communicate with stakeholders.
- Build transfers and generate pick lists.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving requirements with Warehouse staff.
- Obtain information from the maintenance department regarding repair items required, electrical approval status, incoming sub rentals and new equipment.
- Assist with cycle counts and periodic inventory adjustments with Inventory Management Team.
- Assist warehouse in packing or receipt of goods as required.
- Ensure safe shipping practices.
- Ensure shipping and receiving practices and documentation conforms to all regulatory requirements.
- Assess any shipping damages and initiate carrier or vendor claims.
- Manage all sub-rental related shipping and receiving activities, including electronic tracking, while coordinating with Expendables CSR & Sub-rental Coordinator.
- Assist with Inventory & Shipping projects as required.

What you’ll need to succeed
- High school graduation
- Some experience with shipping and receiving
- Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Understanding of equipment; its use, its role within a production and its packaging.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and transactional processes.
- Knowledge of domestic and cross border shipping preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management software preferred.
- Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to deal with high work volumes.
