Social Media And Marketing Manager

We are an ever-growing commercial art gallery located in bustling Downtown Oakville. We represent just over 40 artists from across Canada, both established and emerging. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Media and Marketing Manager to join our gallery team. As a Social Media and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media strategies and email marketing to increase brand awareness, engage with clients both current and prospective, support and advertise our artists and their work, and drive traffic to our website and e-commerce. The Role:
- Develop and execute Social Media strategies to grow our Social Media following.
- Create engaging content for various Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest and LinkedIn
- Maintain knowledge of our artists and be able to speak about technique, history and collections
- Create and manage email campaigns to clients and S&G newsletter
- Monitor Social Media channels for art trends and current news/events for content
- Conduct market research to identify target audience and industry trends
- Collaborate with the team to create content and campaigns
- Manage Social Media advertising campaigns
- Occasionally help out with floor sales and gallery duties

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
- Short portfolio of current Social Media graphics and case studies
- Proven knowledge of art, art history and the terminology used to critique it
- Has a knowledge of art sales and the art industry in Southern Ontario
- In-depth knowledge of various Social Media platforms and their respective audiences
- Proficient in using Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite or Later
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, including SEO and e-commerce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking with the ability to generate innovative ideas
- Proficient in creative platforms like Canva and Capcut
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other analytics tools
