Are you an expert at creating Shorts, Reels, and other similar content from existing footage?

Are you familiar with video editing, content review and even some basic filming skills?

Then this is the role for you!

Digital Shovel is a 5-year-old tech manufacturing company, with a 75,000 square foot facility it Scarborough. We are rapidly expanding our online presence on YouTube and other Social Media, and we are launching our own mini agency to handle that business, as well the content for other clients including a Sailing travel Vlog, and other projects as well.

The office for this project is currently at our location in Scarborough near Morningside and Lawerance, but will be moving to a downtown location in approximately 6-12 months. Our office operates in a hybrid work environment with 2-4 days per week in office Monday to Thursday, and Friday is ALWAYS work from home, with a half day ending at 2pm!

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
• Staying on top of industry trends, techniques, styles, etc
• Reviewing, sorting and comment tagging bulk video content
• Creating Shorts for platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
• Working with team to purpose story-line for long form video content
• Monitoring content posted to see what is performing well

Valuable Skillsets:

• Familiarity with Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite
• Adobe Premiere
• Adobe After Effects
• Familiarity using GoogleDrive and managing large flies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent proofreading abilities
• Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO and content marketing
• Various Reel/Short Creation tools
• A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest Social Media trends and technologies
• Excellent time management
• Organized and detailed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
