Job Summary

The Ministry Program Lead will develop and deliver Equine and other farm activities that:

1. Develop leadership skills in junior staff, volunteers and participants

2. Help people build confidence in who God has called them to be

3. Share the love of Christ

4. Promote Godly living

Qualifications

1. Experience working with youth in a camp setting would be considered an asset

2. Current and satisfactory vulnerable sector check

3. Previous leadership experience

4. Previous horse experience would be considered an asset

5. Must have transportation to and from the farm

6. Three references

Job Location

1. 2572 Muskoka Road 10, Huntsville (Back of Beyond Equine Centre)

2. Offsite visits to various partners as required

3. Some hours of work remotely

Work Hours

1. Summer Day Camp - July 1 to August 31 - Monday to Friday, approx. 8:30 am

to 4 pm (some flexibility required) – 35 hours per week.

2. Spring – dates to be determined – will include evenings

3. Other dates/times may become available and could be negotiated later if

both parties are in mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

1. Assist Leadership staff with program development for children/youth

including lesson plans.

2. Prepare supplies and related learning resources for the day’s activities

3. Lead ministry program daily

4. Care for the horses daily (feed, water etc.) as time allows

5. Interact with participants and other individuals as applicable to the position

6. Report to Leadership team

7. Liaise with third party clients, community and ministry partners

8. Consult with certified EAL person regarding program development and the

farm owners regarding horse care

9. Create and post Social Media updates and keep website current

10. Supervise and other summer staff and volunteers

11. Other duties as applicable

Salary and Benefits

1. $20 per hour plus vacation pay

2. Paid bi- weekly

3. Some hours may be spent working remotely

4. Mileage at .43 cents per km for offsite activities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 35 per week
