We’re the largest financial institution based on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and we’ve got an opportunity for you. We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT Solutions team, so if you’re passionate about systems management, systems maintenance and solutions support and also have experience with information technology, hardware and software updates, we’d like to hear from you.

What’s the role?

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing support and administration for all hardware, software, and updates. The Systems Administratorwill excel at analyzing information from system, application, and user reports that determine the health of existing systems including server infrastructure, end user computers, and applications. You will be relied on to apply operating system and application updates, patches, and configuration changes as well as install and maintain server and client software, system images, and software configurations using enterprise management tools. Working with our IT Solutions team, you’ll contribute to the improvement of support services and you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate in the planning, design, and development of IS solutions. This position offers thirty-seven and a half (37.50) hours per week and provides coverage from Sunday to Thursday on an afternoon shift.

What are we looking for?

• Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or related technical certifications and/or 2 years' equivalent work experience;
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Windows environment.

Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:

• Knowledge of banking and insurance operations, end-user procedures and workflow, security and risk requirements;
• Strong knowledge of System Operating principles, design and components;
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and Windows: scripting (batch/PowerShell), application patching and vulnerability remediation;
• Strong knowledge in server technology, operating systems and backup solutions.

The salary range for this role fits within this career band. Individual job salary range will vary within the career band, based on the skills and requirements of the job posting.

Full Time annual salary range based on 37.50 hour work week.

Specialist - Supervisor - $66,227.00 - $95,187.00
