Accounting Clerk

Can-Am Fresh is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for full cycle accounting and all related activities. Reporting to the controller- Underhill Bros/Can-Am Fresh, the successful candidate will support our Canadian office in providing financial and administrative support to the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Post invoices and journal entries related to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process vendor invoices, including timely and accurate payments.
• Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
• Receive and record cash and cheques.
• Prepare monthly HST returns.
• Maintain and balance general ledger.
• Prepare trial balances and reconcile entries.
• Maintain historical records and ensure filing system remains current.
• Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Actively pursuing accounting certification is preferred.
• Experience with bookkeeping databases is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
• Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
