Accounting Clerk

Our client in the Cobourg area, is currently seeking a fulltime permanent Accounting Clerk to join their team. This position does require you to work in office 5 days a week. This position is 100 percent in office. We are not offering remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, posting payments, and issuing statements.
• Prepare and process a variety of accounting documents, such as invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
• Generate a high volume of invoices for customer billing.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection processes
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Continuously monitors customer account and performs month end reconciliations.
• Determines and enters WIP account numbers for non-standard job setups.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements:

• Post Secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Basic accounting knowledge and understanding with a minimum of 3 years A/R experience.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be proficient with MOS. Must be at an advanced level with Microsoft Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $29.00-$31.00 per hour

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
• Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred)
