Accounting Clerk
The Seven Oaks School Division, situated in Winnipeg’s Northwest corner, is seeking a caring and knowledgeable individual to join the accounting department in the position of Accounting Clerk. The Division has an operating budget of $170 million and has 27 schools with a student population of approximately 12,200.
Under the general supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Clerk’s duties include supporting the Secretary Treasurer’s Department with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, GST and PST remittances, bank reconciliations and school finance support.
The successful candidate must have completed a Business Administration and/or Accounting Diploma or Certificate. Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products is required and experience in our in-house computer system (CIMS) is considered an asset or must be prepared to learn this program. A combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
The successful applicant will also be able to establish priorities, meet strict deadlines, the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy, and the ability and integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information.
This is a full time (7 hours/day) permanent position effective as mutually agreed. Starting salary is according to the C.U.P.E. Local 949 Collective Agreement, $25.94/hr. with a comprehensive benefits package.
Employment with the Division is conditional upon successful clearance through Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Records Checks. Responsibility for acquiring these lies with the applicant.
