Your Mission
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting & Office Administrator is responsible for providing support to the Finance department and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
This position will be based out of our Kelowna, BC office.
A day in the life:
Accounting Support
- Assist in GL (General Ledger) coding and expense allocation for employee expenses and corporate credit cards.
- Review invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to the financial records.
Office/Administrative Support
- Answer incoming calls
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory levels, coordinate with vendors and suppliers to order and restock office supplies as needed.
- Make reservations for meetings, conferences, and other company events as required.
- Coordinate catering services and other venue arrangements for internal meetings, employee social events, and client visits.
- Assist employees with inquiries on company travel and other policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned to support the administrative functions of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate Must Have’s
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
- Experience working in a professional office environment.
- Proficiency in using MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Candidate Nice to Have’s
- Bachelor's degree in business administration (or similar field) preferred, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- Prior experience in an accounting or office administration role
- Experience with Concur and Microsoft Dynamics (or similar ERP applications)
The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $58,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications brought to the role.
