Rocanda is a chemical manufacturer that has operations in both Canada and the USA. We have grown rapidly and are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk that can help us handle day to day requirements of Accounts Payable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices and Accounts Payable transactions. She or he will oversee all aspects of the Accounts Payable process and ensure accurate and timely payment and recording of vendor invoices.
The key job functions are:
- Enter vendor Bills
- Check Bills for accuracy and attach any relevant information within the QuickBooks Platform
- Help install and implement an OCR system like Docuphase; investigate any issues that arise with IT
- Respond to stakeholder and vendor queries on a timely basis and resolve any issues outstanding
- Ensure month-end deadlines are met and accruals are prepared on timely basis
- Review and help prepare weekly payment batches
- Participate in ongoing finance improvement projects, including purchase order improvement systems
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement them
- Conduct other ad hoc projects relating to Accounts Payable
Education:
- Mandatory completion of an accounting diploma or degree
Experience:
- Prior work experience with companies having over $50 MM in revenue
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Experience working in a company with a high volume of transactions is preferred
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Service industry an asset
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills in addition with familiarity of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Microsoft NAV, Avantis or Docuphase an asset

Base Salary: $70,000 – 80,000 per year
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

- Monday to Friday
