Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk

TRI-PAC North America LLC is searching for a full-time Accounts Payable/ Accounts ReceivableClerk in Garden City, KS. This position will require working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Accounts Managers, and other accounting staff help manage the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to take initiative. In addition, a strong ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role.

Duties:

• Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts
• Match order forms with invoices and record the necessary information
• Prepare bank deposits
• Calculate and prepare checks for utilities and other payments
• Calculate, prepare and issue bills invoices according to established procedures
• Prepare purchase orders and expense reports
• Utilize accounting software and tools such as Quickbooks to complete tasks
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices
• Monitor customer accounts for payment discrepancies or overdue balances
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and journal entries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any billing or payment issues
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the general ledger
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures,

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
• Proficient in using accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
