Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies.

Duties:
- Process customer payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts
- Send out invoices to customers
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up as necessary
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and interactions with customers
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to Accounts Receivable

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting education preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in data entry and using accounting software (e.g., PBS system an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
