Carson Lake lumber is looking for an administrative secretary to contribute to the success of the operation through attention to detail and reliable dedication.
Job brief
Administrative secretary responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support managers through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The admin job scope includes communicating via phone and email ensuring that all administrative duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Payroll
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Retrieve documents from the filing system
- Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
- Prepare written responses to routine inquiries
- Order office supplies
- Maintain contact lists
- Provide general support to visitors
- Coordinate and maintain records for staff, telephones, and petty cash
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excell) and Google Docs
- Proficiency in Sage Simply Accounting Software
- Proven admin or assistant experience, minimum of 2 years
- Completed a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
