THE ROLE
Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career.
As part of a dynamic and dedicated team as the Community Recreation & Special Event Coordinator plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates the operations and delivery of Base/Wing/Unit (B/W/U) recreation programs. She/he recommends, implements, and monitors recreation policies and directives and assists with development and amendment of policies. She/he advises B/W/U on the application of recreation program guidelines. The Community Recreation & Special Event Coordinator monitors and evaluates Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) recreation programs. She/he coordinates and supervises B/W/U aquatic and water safety programs, as required and administers and supports recreation clubs and summer camps.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- College diploma or certificate in Sports Administration, Recreation Management, Leisure Services, or a related field, AND some years of experience in recreation administration, or in a related field
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport
- HIGH FIVE QUEST 2
- HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children
