What You Will Do
As an Event Coordinator, you will:
- Help develop, organize, and facilitate events for corporate, incentives, social events, tour groups, weddings, and more!
- Communicate with clients and keep detailed files with key information
- Present activity, entertainment, and menu options to clients and guests
- Work with clients to plan, organize, and oversee events to guarantee success.
Core Responsibilities
- Organize teams to ensure pristine venues
- Support scheduling to ensure timely service
- Strive to meet annual revenue targets
- Assist with site inspections, sales/client meetings, and presentations
- Build and scale events to fit a client’s budget
- Imagine and develop programs and concepts for events
- Manage and monitor all deadlines related to each program
- Utilize Checkfront software for bookings
- Book entertainers and offsite activities
- Manage organize and update all files regarding the events
- Handling invoicing, deposits, and bookings
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience in event production
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Proficient Public Speaking
- Sales Experience
- 2-3 years experience in Event Planning, Catering, and Food & Beverage
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree and/or relevant post-secondary diploma/certification
- 2-3 years hospitably
Working Environment
- Full-time in-person role
- Subsidized Staff Housing is Available
- Scheduling Flexibility. Evening and weekend work is often required.
- Considerable time in front of a computer screen
