We are currently recruiting for the position of Special Events Coordinator for a four-month term (May to August) to assist in the planning and delivery of events to support health and wellness in the community. This position will work 35 hours per week with some evening and weekend work required to support community events. The Special Events Coordinator will focus on community development, supporting those in isolation and assisting with programs for youth, families, seniors and immigrants.
Applicants must have:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps and services
- Valid driver’s license with less than 6 demerits, reliable vehicle and provide proof of insurance upon hire
- Current vulnerable sector/criminal record check
- Preference will be given to those with post-secondary education in social work, childcare, education or a related discipline
Hourly rate is $18.00 - $24.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
