Job Description:
As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees and staff by implementing and monitoring all required safety policies and procedures. You will work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the office. This position is mainly remote but may require on-site visitations as needed throughout Alberta.
Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
- Oversee corporate safety program by developing, implementing, and monitoring safe work practices to comply with all Health and Safety Regulations.
- Coordinate training programs, safety and environmental policy and procedures.
- Ensure that all company and government safety rules and regulations are enforced.
- Review statistics including review and sign-off for accident/ incident investigation, time lost, OH&S requirements and corrective actions.
- Manage internal and external safety audits
- Conduct quarterly JHSC meetings
- Oversee compliance platforms i.e. ISN, complyworks, Avetta
- Ensure safety documentation is maintained and up to date.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet use (Excel).
- Ability to work as part of a team in a professional environment.
Must have:
- Remote office set up with printing and scanning capabilities
- Experience with Sitedocs
- Experience with COR audits
- Experience with Avetta, ISN, Complyworks
- Valid license and vehicle for transportation when needed
Wage is determined by experience and qualifications
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- On call
