What We Offer:
- $55,000 to $65,000 salary per year.
- Work week is Monday to Friday.
- This is a three-month contract with the possibility of hire.
- Create and distribute job postings, conduct pre-screening.
- Coordinate and lead behavioral interviews; score and select candidates.
- Draft employment contracts and follow-up on references.
- Collect pre-hire documents, initiate employee files, and forward payroll documents.
- Act as the first point-of-contact for student placements, including post-secondary.
- Represent the client at employment marketing opportunities and job fairs.
- Facilitate corporate orientation sessions, and schedule site-specific orientations.
- Track contracts and all updated training in HRIS, and coordinate extensions as needed.
- Complete employment verification letters in response to requests.
- Manage all aspects of the volunteer program, including support and coordination.
- Promote organizational compliance with HR and Recruitment-related policies/legislation.
- Identify, mitigate, and report potential service risks, as well as opportunities for service improvement.
- Build and sustain strong internal and external relationships which contribute to a culture of engagement and facilitate continued delivery of supports to the community.
- A strategic thinker, planner, relationship builder, with a leadership and quality focus.
- 2+ years of experience in HR Administration and Recruitment.
- CHRP in progress strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting and managing volunteers strongly preferred.
- Post-secondary completion in Human Resources Management.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized, with an advanced approach in document handling and confidentiality.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle to be able to travel to various sites.
- Able to support the client’s organization at occasional meetings outside of regular hours.
- French or other second-language fluency is preferred.
- Prior experience working in the non-profit sector and with the special needs community is preferred.
