Hr Generalist

Vacutrux is an environmental vacuum truck builder located in Elmira, Ontario. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist that can help with our mission. Your duties will include recruitment, selection, employee onboarding and offboarding, training and orientation, performance management systems, attendance policies and administration, and policy administration.

You will help ensure smooth operation of HR processes within our organization. You will also help implement HR initiatives to foster a positive team culture that will help create a better work environment.

Duties include:

Follow and be current with relevant regulatory agencies and industry standards

Identify staff vacancies and collaborate with managers for candidate selection

Help implement performance reviews and attendance reviews

Help implement HR policies, practices, and procedures

Administer HR attendance rules and policies

Work with Joint Health & Safety Committee for implementing projects and training

Record keeping for various HR functions

Assists with employee conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures

Implement offboarding process to foster a humane and cordial process

Organizes culture-enhancing events to promotes company culture

Coordinate job offer contract administration

Conducts new employee orientation

Proactive help for under staffing issues posting jobs for vacancies and recruiting employees to fill missing roles

Professional and ethical conduct, with respect for confidentiality

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, Human Resources preferred

2-5 year experience in human resources role, manufacturing industry preferred

Working knowledge of Human Resources industry standards, laws and regulations

Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize projects

Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
