We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and / or equivalent combination of education and experience in a human resource service function with experience in a unionized environment.
- Considerable experience within a similar role and scope of field
- Demonstrated experience with contemporary talent sourcing techniques including social recruitment (i.e. Linked In; mobile recruitment, etc.)
- Relative experience with Disability Claims and Return to Work Planning – this could include WSIB, STD, LTD and medical leave of absence
- Experience in developing and executing recruitment solutions to address current and emerging workforce challenges, especially those related to competing for high demand talent in a competitive market.
- Experience with Attendance Management Programs and HRIS
Responsibilities:
- Source and screen resumes; coordinate and participate in interview schedules and provide recommendations for hiring opportunities
- Maintain and create internal and external job postings on CLNH’s website, as well as employment recruitment sites
- Organize and coordinate communication and tracking of Disability Claims and Return to Work Planning
- Produce No Thank you letters, conduct offer calls, and manage database
- Assist in the development of recruitment planning tools and processes to support immediate and longer term staffing initiatives
- Balance and maintain Benefits accrual spreadsheet for change in departments
- Research new and emerging talent sources and identified methods for reaching and engaging candidates in a changing market
- Support in retention management and planning
- Arrange and conduct regular orientation and onboarding sessions with new employees
- Support the maintenance and organization of Human Resource files for all employees – ensure payroll maintenance is up to date on a daily basis
- Participate in discussion to identify existing gaps and make recommendations for improvement of recruitment and orientation processes
- Provide administrative support to maintain training requirements
- Organize and connect prospective volunteers within our agency
- Track progress and maintain statistics on attendance management
- Maintain and update HRIS and reports and update our HR Metrics reporting
