What we offer

Salary: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour plus a bonus of up to $2.50 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package that addresses our staff's overall well-being and includes dental, extended healthcare, life insurance, a healthcare spending account, and an RRSP match plus employee discounts on all our products and services!

In this senior management role, you’ll be the maestro of morale and the wizard of workplace wellbeing. You’ll ensure that our team stays motivated, engaged, and equipped with everything they need to thrive in their roles and spread joy to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that foster a culture of camaraderie, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent who share our passion for adventure and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and confidant to team members, offering support, guidance, and a sympathetic ear when needed.
  • Organize epic team-building events that strengthen bonds and boost morale, from employee recognition dinners to management retreats.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to ensure that every member of our team feels respected, valued, and empowered.
  • Oversee performance management processes, providing constructive feedback and recognition to fuel personal and professional growth.
  • Keep a pulse on employee sentiment and satisfaction, proactively addressing concerns and implementing solutions to keep spirits high.
  • Stay up-to-date on HR best practices and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure our policies and Employee Handbook don’t collect dust or go unread.
  • Supervise and work closely with our rock-star HR Generalist.
  • Since it can’t all be rainbows and unicorns, there will be some routine administrative tasks as well.

Skills and Experience that Make You a Good Fit:

  • Proven experience in HR or people management roles, preferably in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
  • Certification in HR or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with 100-200 happy campers across multiple sites.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • A creative mindset and a knack for thinking outside the box to solve problems and inspire innovation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • A sense of humour that can light up a room and turn even the most mundane tasks into memorable moments.

Job Type: Full-time
