Intermediate Accountant

Paycore is a private company operating in the resources sector and we are currently looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team!

This is a full-time position based out of one of the following locations:

- Valemount

- Fort St. John

- Hybrid or remote may be an option for performance driven candidates

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- AR, AP and payroll

- Entering and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company

- Accounts reconciliation, resolving discrepancies as needed

- Government and third parties’ remittances (calculate and process)

- Preparing intercompany transactions

- Assets tracking

- Handling external audits as required

- Preparing financial records for external accountant for year-end process

- Overseeing performance of one clerk

The ideal candidate should:

- Get tasks done accurately in a timely manner

- 2+ years of experience in full cycle bookkeeping

- Have strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

- Be proficient in cloud-based accounting system (QBO) and MS 365

- Be able to work well under tight deadlines

- Be able to properly follow procedures

- Have experience in working with year-end procedures

- Be able to communicate effectively as regularly as possible, especially when encountering issues
