Our client is a one of the oldest corporately-owned real estate groups in the country. With offices in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, the Junior Accountant position will be located out of the Corporate Head Office in Toronto.
As a member of the corporate finance and accounting team, the Junior Accountant will report into the Controller and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist with the execution of full cycle (monthly; quarterly; annually) accounting processes including account reconciliations, analysis, and other supporting schedules
- Day to day bookkeeping (invoice processing, journal entries, payment processing
- Assist in the preparation and completion of bank account reconciliations
- Review and action agents accounts receivable
- Assist with month end and year end close procedures
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, finance or equivalent, CPA designation or near completion
- Minimum 3 years in a full cycle accounting role and preferable in a head office environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Lone Wolf is preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
