Line Cooks & Prep Cooks

Job Overview:

Brie & Barrel is looking for an experienced line cook to join our team. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in slightly higher end dining but we are willing to train the right person who has more casual experience. We have a small kitchen staff who work closely together. The ideal candidate would be excited to join a collaborative team, bringing a passion for creating and learning new techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats

- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent quality of dishes

- Cook and plate menu items according to Chef's standards

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service

- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

- Support other kitchen staff as needed

Skills:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry is preferred

- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
